To an outsider, Katharine Bounevialle’s (Bonham Carter) life is far from perfect. After her husband’s death, she was left to care for their home and small business. She runs a bakery in their small town and obviously struggles to get by, but thinks she’s doing just fine for herself.
During a bleak and dreary afternoon, she decides to close early and head home before nightfall. On her way home, the rain starts to pour. She passes through a more secludedd road when she stumbles on a young woman sitting alone, allowing herself to get drenched. Concerned, Katherine convinces herto come home with her to get out of the rain.
The woman, Io (Hathaway) seems to be a cynical runaway, untalkative and barely cooperative. Io claims to have nothing to her name, nor anyone out there for her. Despite her protests, Katherine convinces her to stay around and even employs her to work for her. Because of the condition of her house, Io mistakes Katherine to be ric and agrees thinking she could take advantage of her generosity.
She soon learns that Katherine is also struggles to make ends meet, made even more surprising by how happy and optimistic Katherine is. Io grows attached to Katherine and starts to open up to her. So when Katherine falls ill to the same illness her husband suffered, she goes all out trying to help her. In desperation, she goes back to her family to ask for help, even if the price for their assistance is what initally drove her away in the first place.Hipstah postah.

During her campaign for reelection, a terrorist attack claims the lives of dozens in her home town. Hours after the attack, she’s abducted by a an unknown rogue named Evra Jacknife (Knightley).
Jacknife explains that the attack on Kruezberg’s home was not an attack but an inside job to cover-up a government conspiracy and use Kreuzberg as a scape goat. Kreuzberg refuses to believe Jacknife and escapes to return home to sort things out. Only, by the time she’s arrived, she’s indeed been turned into public enemy no. 1, the story going that she had been making deals with criminal organizations and used them to further her political ambition.
Rescuing Kreuzberg from capture by the government, Jacknife tells Kreuzberg of the conspiracy that has been at work since the the war’s beginings and gives her the choice, join the guerilla forces or be left to face execution at the hands of the government.They’re prolly secretly related, or something, I think.

REQUESTED BY only-elijahwoodSYNOPSIS Tabitha Cook (Streep) calls her daughter Josephine (Aniston) on the phone every week ever since their falling out six years ago. Jo’s moved to LA in hopes of pursuing a career in acting but has had to find work as the personal assistant to movie star Kyle MacMillan (Gyllenhaal).
Jo never answers to her mothers calls, but listens to the messages she leaves on her machine. Jo is still bitter at her mother’s once refusal to support her descision to move to LA nor of her ambitions, and has too much pride to admit her mother was right about her dreams.
Tabitha’s messages are all supportive and caring, talking about how she sees what Kyle’s up to and how she sometimes sees Jo on TV in the background. With things getting increasingly difficult working for Kyle, but Jo perserveers. She’s slowly getting some opportunities come her way and she thinks she just has to hold on for a while longer and be patient.
When Tabitha fails to call three weeks in a row, Jo finally decided to call home for the first time. She is greeted with terrible news that her mother has fallen ill. She speaks to her mother for the first time in years and the two have a teary reconcillation. Jo wants to return home to care for her mother, but her mother convinces her to stay in LA until the end of the audition process for the show she’s been trying out for.
She reluctantly agrees, with her mother promising her she would still be around after. Jo gets the part, and calls her mother the minute she hears of the news. Her mother is elated and Jo comes home the next day. She arrives late in the evening and the mother and daughter spend the rest of the evening catching up. The movie ends, the two going to sleep, with Jo’s mother passing away peacefully, finally at peace.WHY S THIS SUMMARY SO LONG? XDD
